The Steel Sisters

As members of the 1764 Society, Alexandra Steel Scott '04 and Charlotte Steel '09 believe that alumni participation and consistent support have the greatest impact on current students. They choose to give back to Brown by motivating their classmates and other young alumni to make yearly gifts through the Annual Fund.

Barbara Epstein '48, P'74

Giving to Brown through the Annual Fund allows Barbara to maintain a connection with Brown and give back to a school that gave so much to her: preparation for a great career, long-lasting friends, and the educational experience of a lifetime. Barbara has given through the Annual Fund for over 25 consecutive years and is recognized as a longstanding member of the 1764 Society.

Abhas Gupta '02

"I remember viewing gifts to the University as a rite of passage to being a full-fledged alumnus," says Abhas. "I was proud to make my first, albeit modest, contribution." As a 1764 Society member and a member of the Carrie Tower Society, he has been a strong supporter of the investments Brown is making in its students every year since graduation.
