How To Give

A Graduation Tradition

Each year, members of the graduating class show their appreciation for the distinctive Brown experience by making their first gifts to the University. The Class of 2009 is focused on coming together as a class to make a gift to the Brown Annual Fund.

73% Participation is the goal this year. The Class of 2008 currently holds the record at 72% participation. Every gift counts and we can do it!

What a Difference Three Years Makes
We are not the same people we were when we arrived on College Hill. New friends, experiences in and out of the classroom, and conversations with professors have changed the way we view the world, and each other. Brown has changed a lot over these three years as well. No one imagined that Boldly Brown: The Campaign for Academic Enrichment would impact our time here so significantly. As first-years, we helped kick off the Campaign, (remember the "Not Timid" t-shirts?). Thanks to the funds being raised through the Campaign, we have had opportunities to take classes with 75 new faculty members, select from over 140 new courses, and benefit from a new financial aid program.

Thousands and thousands of alumni stepped forward with gifts to the Brown Annual Fund to make these and other opportunities possible. Now, it is our turn. Our gifts to the Brown Annual Fund, this year, and in the years to come will help Brown continue to offer future students an opportunity to change and grow, just as we have.

Our gifts: big and small, today and tomorrow: The cornerstone of Brown's future.

Pay Tribute
What better way for you to say "thank you" than to make your gift in honor of the professor, coach, staff member, or parent who made your Brown experience special? Your honoree will be listed, along with those your classmates choose to honor, in a full-page ad in the Commencement issue of The Brown Daily Herald. Gifts will need to be received by April 10th in order to be included in the Commencement Issue of the BDH.
